Club Sectionals
Written by Josh
Thursday, 08 September 2005

Club Sectionals is coming up fast (September 17-18), so I need to get the roster finalized very quickly. Club sectionals is the first in a series of qualifying tournaments for club nationals, which means we get to play against some pretty serious competition. It’s a lot of fun. The following players are already on the roster, and have all of their UPA shit in order. If your name is on this list and you CANNOT play in the tournament (injury, lameass commitment, etc.), or if your status is tentative, email me and let me know what’s up.

Shylock
Dorsal
Wonderboy Zane
Skippy
Jughead
Gordy
Peaches
Alex

Dancsi and Stout, you two are on the roster but have remaining UPA issues. I’m assuming you both want to play. I’ll email you about what you need to take care of before the tourney. Let me know if you can’t make it or anything like that.

EVERYONE ELSE who is a UPA member, rookie or veteran, and wants to play in this tourney, needs to email me to let me know that they want to play, and to give me their UPA id#. These are needed to add you to the roster. Don’t forget to give me your #.

If you want to play in the tourney, and you are not currently a UPA member, email me, as we may have a few veterans who are unable to attend that you could pose as.

Depending on how many people respond and how quickly, I will get a finalized roster back to you asap. Remember, even if you are not playing for lack of UPA membership or whatever reason, everyone is more than welcome to attend the tournament and hang out on the sidelines. I didn’t play last year and still had a blast. It’s a great way for rookies to really get to know the team and watch some very good ultimate teams.

First Practice
Written by Josh
Monday, 05 September 2005

First official practice is tomorrow (9/6). It’ll be at Athearn field (where the trailers used to be, inbetween Frary and Collins). We’ll get started at 4:15. Skippy will bring the waivers for everyone to sign. All skill levels welcome. If you’ve been recruiting anyone that isn’t on the mailing list yet, make sure that they know about this (and get on the mailing list). Everyone that has a disc should bring it. From this point on we will be having regular practice every Tuesday and Thursday afternoon, same place, same time. I’ll let you know when we add a third practice. Oh, and keep your eyes peeled for a party email from vicar icecock in the sorta-near future.

Alex

Ps- if anyone has a large cooler for mixing up some dizzy juice, let icecock or one of the captains know

New players check out the Team section for practice times and locations or go to the Info section to contact someone on the team. Everyone else feel free to browse around and enjoy 25 years of beautiful tradition

If you would like to see info on adding yourself to the Braineaters' mailing list (and please read the directions carefully), click on the exclamation: Shitty Beatles!

Aren't we all? To contact the Green Shirts, Claremont's fairer version of the Brains, email ( ). Not only are they better looking, they're also amazing (19th in the nation last year).
